Terms of Use

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms cover your use of pdfgig.com and its tools (the "Service"), provided by PDFgig ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The Service

PDFgig gives you free tools for working with PDF files and images. The tools run in your browser, on your own device. We may add, change, limit or stop any tool or part of the Service at any time, without notice.

Your files

Your files are yours. We don't receive or store them, and we don't own them or the files the tools make. You are responsible for:

  • having the right to use, change and share the files you work with;
  • keeping your own copies of your original files;
  • checking every result before you rely on it or share it, including redacted, protected, unlocked, compressed and converted files.

Fair use

You agree not to use the Service:

  • for anything illegal, or to break the rights of others;
  • to remove protection from documents you aren't allowed to open or change;
  • to attack, overload or disrupt the Service or the networks it runs on.

No warranty

In plain words: the tools are free and we do our best, but we can't promise they'll always work perfectly.

The Service is a tool provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that results will be accurate or complete, or that the Service is fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

In plain words: we aren't responsible if something goes wrong with your files, so always keep a copy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFgig and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes, without limitation, loss or corruption of files or data, loss of confidentiality, loss of profits or business, and any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50).

Indemnity

In plain words: if someone makes a claim because of your files or how you used the tools, that's on you, not us.

You agree to defend and hold harmless PDFgig and its operators from any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your files, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

Our content

The PDFgig name, logo, design and site content belong to PDFgig. The Service also uses open-source software, which stays under its own licences.

Other websites

The Service may link to or use other websites and services. We aren't responsible for what they show or do.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province where PDFgig is run. If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
