Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

PDFgig ("we", "us") is run from Canada. This policy explains what information is involved when you use pdfgig.com and what happens to it. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Your files stay on your device

PDFgig tools run inside your web browser. The files you open are worked on by your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. We never receive, see, store or share your files or what's in them. When you close the page, your browser clears them from its memory.

Information we collect

You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the tools. We don't use analytics, ads or tracking cookies.

Like every website, pdfgig.com runs on a hosting service. That service handles basic technical details it needs to send you the pages and keep the site safe, such as your IP address, your browser type, the pages you open and when.

Services we use

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks. It handles technical request details as explained in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • jsDelivr, a public download network, supplies the free text-reading engine used by the OCR tool. When you use OCR, your browser downloads that engine and its language data from jsDelivr, which sees standard request details such as your IP address. Your files are not sent.

Storage in your browser

The OCR tool saves the language data it downloads in your browser's storage (IndexedDB), so it doesn't have to download it again next time. This data has no personal information in it, stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

How we use information

Technical details are only used to run the site, keep it safe and fix problems. We don't sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, for marketing or for any other reason.

Children

PDFgig is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Your files never reach us and we have no accounts, so we usually hold no personal information about you. If you have a question about your information, or want to make a request under privacy law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), contact us and we'll reply within a reasonable time. Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom can find more on our GDPR page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
