PDFgig is built so your documents don't have to leave your device. This page explains how that works and what is still up to you.
Your files are worked on in your browser
Every PDFgig tool runs inside your web browser. Your files are opened and changed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers, so we have no copy of them to store, lose or share.
You can check this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use any tool. You won't see your file being sent anywhere.
Secure connection
pdfgig.com is served over HTTPS through Cloudflare, and browsers are told to always use a secure connection. That means the pages and tools you load are encrypted on the way to you and can't be changed along the way.
Passwords
When you protect or unlock a PDF, the password is used on your device and is never sent to us. We can't see or recover passwords, so keep yours somewhere safe. Protect PDF uses AES-256 encryption, the strongest kind PDF files support.
Redaction
Redact PDF removes what you mark from the file instead of just covering it, and rebuilds those pages so hidden content doesn't come along. Always open the redacted file and check it before you share it.
Your part
Since the work happens on your device, the safety of your computer or phone, your browser and your network matters too. Keep your software up to date, keep copies of your original files, and check results before you rely on them. As our Terms of Use explain, the Service is provided as is, and you are responsible for your files.
Reporting a security problem
If you think you've found a security problem with PDFgig, please email NagoriTech@gmail.com with the details. We're grateful for careful reports and will look into them quickly.
